Enervate is a workforce application for compressed-gas transport operations, published by Gingersnap Software LLC. It is licensed to gas transport and utility companies and used by their employees and contractors — primarily drivers, dispatchers, and administrators.
Enervate is not a consumer application. Accounts are created and administered by your employer or the operating company that licenses Enervate, referred to below as your organization. You cannot self-register. If you are a driver or dispatcher using Enervate, your organization determines what data is collected about you in the course of your work, and this policy describes how the application handles it.
| Category | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Precise location | GPS coordinates, accuracy, altitude, speed, heading, and timestamp, recorded periodically while you are signed in to the mobile app. | To show your vehicle's position to your organization's dispatchers, and to attach the route travelled to the delivery record for a load. |
| Account information | Username, first and last name, work email address, work phone number and mobile carrier, assigned role, assigned vehicle, and the organization you belong to. | To authenticate you, apply your permissions, keep your data separated from other organizations', and send you operational notifications. |
| Operational records | Bill of Lading tickets and their contents: origin and destination sites, trailer and vehicle identifiers, meter and accumulator readings, temperatures and pressures, volumes, gas composition, timestamps, free-text notes, and which user started and completed each ticket. | To produce the delivery documentation your organization is required to keep, and to reconcile loads. |
| Signatures | A handwritten signature you draw on screen when a delivery requires one. | To evidence custody transfer on the Bill of Lading document. |
| Camera | The camera is used to scan QR codes on trailers and site equipment. Scanning happens on your device and images are not stored or transmitted. | To identify equipment without manual entry. |
| Technical information | App version, device platform, and the time of your most recent sign-in. | To support you, diagnose faults, and know which app version a problem report came from. |
When you sign in to the Enervate mobile app, the app starts a location service that continues to run while you are signed in, including when the app is in the background or your screen is locked. Android displays a permanent notification for the whole time this service is active, so it is always visible to you that location is being recorded. The service stops when you sign out.
Location is tied to your signed-in account, not collected anonymously. Your organization's dispatchers and administrators can see where you are while you are signed in, and can see the route recorded against each delivery you complete. If you do not want your location recorded, sign out of the app.
Enervate does not use your location for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the operational ones described above, and does not track you when you are signed out.
Your organization. Everything described above is visible to authorised users within your own organization — typically dispatchers, supervisors, and administrators. Enervate keeps each organization's data logically separated, and users of one organization cannot see another organization's drivers, sites, vehicles, or tickets.
Service providers. We use a small number of third parties strictly to operate the application:
| Provider | Purpose | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Application and database hosting | All data, as our hosting provider |
| Twilio | Operational SMS and voice notifications | Phone number and message content |
| Email delivery (SMTP) | Reports and password-reset messages | Email address and message content |
| Google Maps | Map display inside the application | Map requests needed to draw the map view |
Legal disclosure. We may disclose data where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
Operational records — Bill of Lading tickets, meter readings, and signatures — are retained for as long as your organization requires them for business and regulatory record-keeping, and for as long as your organization's agreement with us remains in effect.
Location records are retained on the same basis, as part of the delivery history they relate to. We do not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule to location history. If your organization requires one, it can be arranged through your agreement with us.
Account records are retained while your account is active, and afterwards where needed for audit purposes.
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and are never stored in readable form. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel.
Because your Enervate account is created and controlled by your organization, requests to access, correct, or delete your personal data should normally go to your employer first — they administer the account and the operational records.
You may also contact us directly at the address below and we will assist your organization in responding. To ask us to delete your data, follow the steps in How to request deletion of your data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to it. We will honour applicable rights and will not retaliate against you for exercising them.
You can revoke the app's location permission at any time in your device's Android settings, and you can stop location collection by signing out. Note that revoking location permission will prevent parts of the application from working, since recording delivery routes is a core function.
This section is the deletion request procedure for the Enervate mobile application, published by Gingersnap Software LLC.
Steps to request deletion:
What is deleted: your account record (username, name, work email address, work phone number and carrier, role, and assigned vehicle) and your location history, including the routes recorded against deliveries you completed.
What is kept, and for how long: Bill of Lading tickets and their contents, meter and accumulator readings, and signatures are business and regulatory records belonging to your employer, not to us, and we cannot delete them at an individual user's request. They are retained for as long as your employer requires them for record-keeping and for as long as their agreement with us remains in effect, after which they are deleted along with the rest of that organization's data. A ticket records which user started and completed it; that attribution stays in the record, but once your account record is deleted it no longer resolves to your name or contact details.
Deleting an account through the in-app administration screen only deactivates it and does not remove the underlying record — use the email procedure above for an actual deletion. Backup copies taken before a deletion may still contain the data until those backups are rotated out of retention.
Enervate is a workforce application intended solely for adults employed or contracted by our client organizations. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, notify client organizations directly.
